Shadow Hardbarger

Shadow Hardbarger is from Marble City, Oklahoma, a 2012 graduate of Sequoyah High School, and a current student at Northeastern State University. Shadow is Cherokee and Crow.

Shadow is a passionate advocate for Native causes, an experienced community organizer, and one of the hardest workers you will ever meet. It doesn’t matter whether it’s food, fashion, or science fiction, Shadow can and will build community around it.

Since 4 Next7s inception in 2022, Shadow has been instrumental in planning, organizing, and executing all of the organization's Major events. The peak of Shadows event planning skills were demonstrated in planning and hosting 4next 7s Art Markets. The organization has hosted two art markets to date. The first was held in December of 2023 which highlighted emerging Native Artists and served as many artists first exposition. The second was held in July of 2023 and shifted focus to LGBTQIA2S+ artists and offered them space to be 100% themselves and share their art with the community. The Native Pride Art Market also featured a Drag Show!

Shadow is a tireless advocate for the rights of those who are underrepresented, mistreated, and often silenced by their situation, their surroundings, or their social status. In the summer of 2021, the Roe V. Wade ruling came down from the US Supreme Court. Out of the confusion, fear, and upset which followed the ruling, Shadow desired a means to organize a way of displaying discontent with the ruling.  4Next7 organized a March through the city of Tahlequah and invited community members to join. At the front of the March, Shadow with a bullhorn in hand, led the small but proud procession to city hall.

Shadow is smart, hardworking, and passionate. 4Next7 is lucky to have Shadow Hardbarger as our Treasurer and teammate.
